Smarter Web Company Cuts Coinbase Debt with £2.2 Million Share Sale
The Smarter Web Company PLC has raised £2.2 million by selling 2,883,000 ordinary shares at £0.75 each. The sale was conducted under a subscription agreement announced on December 24, 2025. The company will receive approximately 98.25% of the gross proceeds, with the balance going towards reducing its debt to Coinbase.
The Smarter Web Company owns and operates digital services businesses focused on web design, development, and digital marketing, serving over 500 client websites. The company has adopted a Bitcoin treasury policy, using Bitcoin as its primary treasury reserve asset. The loan with Coinbase is secured against the company's Bitcoin holdings and can be repaid without additional charges at the company's discretion.
The company will use the net proceeds from the share sale to reduce its strategic credit facility with Coinbase from approximately £19.0 million to £17.0 million. The ordinary shares are listed on the Official List and trade on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange under the ticker SWC.
