Smarter Web Company Trims Debt and Boosts Equity with Share Sale
The Smarter Web Company has taken steps to strengthen its financial position by raising £1.89 million through the sale of ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange Main Market.
As part of this move, the company plans to reduce its Coinbase strategic credit facility from £20.8 million to £19.0 million amid a modest increase in the loan's variable interest rate from 6.00% to 6.25%.
The exercise of 750,000 warrants has also taken place, resulting in an additional 375,590,705 shares being issued and further strengthening the company's equity base.
However, this development may lead to a large warrant overhang, with much of it held by senior management, which could influence future dilution and capital-raising flexibility.
