Smarter Web Sells More Bitcoin Amid Financial Discipline

The Smarter Web Company has sold some of its Bitcoin holdings to pay off an $11.7 million loan, marking the second time this year it has done so.

This move follows Strategy's (formerly MicroStrategy) two earlier sales: one in May for $2.5 million and another in June for a much larger sum - 3,588 BTC valued at $216 million.

The reason behind The Smarter Web Company's decision to sell Bitcoin is its desire to maintain balance-sheet flexibility rather than dilute equity, as explained by CEO Andrew Webley: 'We do not currently believe they represent the right capital solution for The Smarter Web Company.'

This strategy reflects a shift in how some firms manage their digital assets, treating them as liquid reserves similar to cash or short-term investments.
