Solana has solidified its position as the top-performing blockchain for application revenue, generating $193.1 million in the past 30 days. This surge is driven by a diverse range of applications, with Hyperliquid, Ethereum, and Robinhood-related activities also contributing significantly. While consumer applications like launchpads and trading terminals still dominate, accounting for roughly 80% of revenue, the ecosystem is showing signs of broadening beyond meme coins.
The meme coin frenzy, particularly on Pump.fun, remains a key revenue driver, bringing in $39 million over the past 30 days. However, the concentration of revenue is decreasing, with newer products gaining market share. The top three applications' share of consumer revenue dropped from 64% to 50.2%, indicating a more balanced distribution.
Tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) are emerging as Solana's next growth engine. The market value of RWAs on Solana skyrocketed over 600% in a year, reaching $4.37 billion. Tokenized stocks alone surged from $63 million to $455 million, with platforms like xStocks and Backpack leading the charge. Over $65 million of tokenized equities are already being used to earn yield, and active RWA value in Solana DeFi exceeds $500 million.
The long-term viability of Solana's growth hinges on its ability to sustain revenue beyond speculative consumer activity. The ecosystem is increasingly integrating lending, tokenized credit, equities, and yield-bearing assets. If Solana can successfully blend these elements with its existing consumer revenues, the current $193 million in monthly app revenue could mark the beginning of a more stable growth phase rather than a peak.
