MagicBlock has announced that Solana Blitz v7 will begin on Monday, accompanied by five app concepts for developers to build on. The series is built on MagicBlock's Ephemeral Rollups and aims to encourage builders with a low-cost hackathon format.

Solana Blitz v7 follows the same structure as previous editions, where participants build on temporary, just-in-time SVM runtimes that deliver sub-50 millisecond execution and gasless transactions while settling state back to Solana mainnet. The series has seen cumulative projects pass 200 in June, with Ephemeral Rollup sessions growing 8x in the same month.

MagicBlock provided five app ideas for developers to get started, but did not disclose any theme, prize pool, or judging criteria for v7. The company's Real-Time Hackathon dangled a $10,000 grant plus a route into Solana's Colosseum accelerator, in contrast to Blitz's lower-cost format.
