Jito Labs CEO Lucas Bruder has proposed raising the capacity to 100 million compute units by year-end, but for now, the upgrade allows more transactions per block, reducing fees and improving user experience. Each Solana transaction consumes compute units based on complexity, with block totals previously capped at 48 million.
