Solana Boosts Transaction Size by Over Three Times, Empowering Complex Apps

Solana has increased its maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes, allowing complex applications to combine more instructions in a single operation.

This change is part of Solana's V1 feature, which gives developers the option to use the larger format for transactions that require more data. This includes multi-step trades, company-wallet approvals, and privacy proofs, among other workloads.

Larger transactions may face higher priority fees during busy periods, but this is intended for transactions that genuinely need more space. Applications must opt-in to V1 to use the larger format, while legacy and V0 transactions continue to work as before.
