Solana's mainnet has undergone an upgrade to increase its maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes. This change allows developers to bundle more instructions and reduce transaction splits, improving efficiency.

The new limit supports advanced features like zero-knowledge proofs and multisignatures that can now fit into a single transaction.

Solana's ongoing efforts to speed up block creation and handle growing network activity are complemented by this upgrade. The network processed 4.2 billion transactions in July, demonstrating its increasing demand.
