Solana Co-Founder Proposes Unconventional Route for Trading Tokenized Stocks
Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko has proposed an unconventional route for trading tokenized shares, such as those of Nvidia. According to him, a giant trade router on Solana's main network could push these tokens into tokenized SpaceX by hopping through Fartcoin.
The idea involves aggregating liquidity across dozens of Solana venues and splitting one order into several paths. A single trade can touch several pools before it settles, with meme coin pools often holding the deepest liquidity on the network.
This indifference to the path taken is at the heart of Yakovenko's joke, which aims to highlight the potential for a low-reputation token like Fartcoin to quietly influence the National Best Bid and Offer (NBBO) - the best price across US exchanges that brokers must respect under SEC rule 611.
Fartcoin trades near $0.17 with a market cap of around $167 million, having gained roughly 44% in 90 days. However, it is still 93% below its January 2025 peak.
