Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana and widely known as Toly, has expressed strong support for SGP-0003, a proposal aimed at reworking how transactions are charged on the network. In his view, it's a 'no brainer yes vote.'

The proposed fee structure includes a fixed inclusion fee of 2,500 lamports for block leaders and a variable resource fee tied to compute units. This fee starts at 1 lamport per 10 CUs but could increase as high as 1 lamport per 2 CUs based on future evaluations.

App builders such as BlueShift, Firedancer Development, and Hylo have signaled their support for the proposal, but some DeFi entities are opposed due to concerns about timing. They argue that the ecosystem is still maturing and that imposing a new fee regime now could discourage experimentation.
