Solana Contest Missed Clock Attack Vulnerability

A recent security contest held by Solana did not cover a clock attack disclosed months earlier.

The researchers presented their findings at USENIX Security on August 12, and had privately informed Solana developers about it in December 2025.

The competition rules excluded behavior that could only occur when Alpenglow was inactive.
