Strategy's Net Leverage Ratio Drops to 3.21%, Bitcoin Holdings Reach New Heights
Strategy Inc., a company that has become synonymous with Bitcoin accumulation, has managed to keep its net leverage ratio remarkably low. The company's balance sheet shows total debt of $6.754 billion, but this is dwarfed by its preferred equity of $15.101 billion. As a result, Strategy's net leverage ratio stands at just 3.21%.
The company's market capitalization is approximately $44.451 billion, putting its enterprise value in the neighborhood of $61.51 billion. With a total of 840,447 BTC on its balance sheet, Strategy now holds roughly 4% of all Bitcoin that will ever exist.
Strategy has been raising capital through a combination of equity and equity-like instruments, such as ATM equity programs and convertible debt. This approach allows the company to avoid traditional debt markets and tap into the capital markets at more favorable prices. Preferred stock issuance has also played a significant role in Strategy's capital-raising efforts.
The $1.719 billion in annual interest and dividend obligations remains a key concern for investors, however. If Bitcoin enters a prolonged bear market, Strategy's ability to raise fresh equity could be severely impacted, forcing the company to tap debt markets on less favorable terms or slow its accumulation entirely.
