Solana Defies Death Cross as Price Rebounds Above $100
Solana's price rebounded above $100 after a sharp decline earlier this week, prompting some analysts to wonder if a bear trap is setting up.
The cryptocurrency had been down for four consecutive days from September 7 to 10, 2026, amid the wider crypto market's decline. During that period, a death cross formed on the 2-hour chart with the MA 50 falling below the MA 200.
However, the price rebounded sharply on Friday, taking bears by surprise as SOL rose from $98 to $104, producing a massive green candlestick shortly after the death cross emerged. The next resistance is at $110, while major support is expected at $83 and $87 in the event of a price drop.
The Solana team is also gearing up for its 'Solana Summit: Washington x Wall Street' event on September 14, where SEC Chairman Paul Atkins will deliver a closing keynote address. The event aims to bring together policymakers, investors, and builders to discuss blockchain policy, infrastructure, and institutional use cases.
