Solana Dominates On-Chain Application Revenue with $144.25 Million
Solana's on-chain application revenue reached $467.66 million in September 2026, a 27% increase from August and the highest monthly figure since October 2025, according to DefiLlama data.
Solana led all networks with $144.25 million, roughly 31% of the global total.
The network posted $143.23 million in August, meaning its absolute revenue was nearly flat even as its market share fell from 38.1% to 31%.
Ryan, a financial writer, noted that Solana's low-cost, high-throughput architecture continues to attract the volume-intensive applications that generate the most protocol revenue.
Robinhood Chain nearly tripled its August figure to reach $84.39 million, vaulting past both Hyperliquid at $60.56 million and Ethereum at $55.43 million to claim second place.
Binance Smart Chain (BSC) rounded out the top five at $38.71 million.
Solana set a single-day record on 12 September when its applications generated $7.935 million in retained fees.
The network's revenue was driven by memecoin platforms, with pump.fun, the memecoin launchpad, remaining Solana's largest revenue generator, earning approximately $58.2 million in August.
