Solana Fee Revenue Dives 44% Amid Memecoin Trading Slump

Solana's network fee revenue plummeted to approximately $50 million in Q2 2025, marking a 44% decline from the previous quarter. This sharp drop is largely attributed to reduced memecoin trading activity, which had been a primary driver of network usage and fee generation.

During the peak period between Q4 2024 and Q1 2025, quarterly fee revenue reached around $900 million. The current slowdown suggests a return to more sustainable, albeit lower, activity levels.

The reduction in MEV tips, payments made to validators for transaction ordering, also contributed to the overall decline in network revenue. This trend reflects a broader normalization in the crypto market after an exceptionally active period.
