Solana Fees Soar Past Ethereum, But Token Burns Tell Different Story
Solana's transaction fees nearly doubled Ethereum's over the past month, generating approximately $23.58 million compared to Ethereum's $12.04 million, according to DeFiLlama data.
However, Ethereum's token burns outpaced Solana's by a small margin at $2.80 million versus $2.66 million, highlighting divergent fee-allocation mechanisms between the two networks.
Ethereum still holds significant advantages over Solana in terms of decentralized finance (DeFi) total value locked ($51.53 billion vs $6.13 billion), stablecoin supply ($146.94 billion vs $15.40 billion), and tokenized real-world assets ($13.50 billion vs $1.58 billion).
