Solana's price surged by 5% after Firedancer, its new validator client developed by Jump Crypto, launched on its mainnet.

The client completed over 100 days of controlled testing and uses C and C++ to handle heavy transaction loads and reduce network downtime risks.

According to Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko, the launch marks the end of the network's extended beta period.

Firedancer nodes currently control less than 1% of total staked SOL, but more than 20% of validators have switched from earlier experimental clients in December.
