Solana Foundation Bolsters Team with Ex-Binance Execs to Drive Growth
Solana Foundation has brought in two high-profile hires to drive growth and partnerships. Rachel Conlan, former Binance chief marketing officer, joins as chief strategy officer. She will oversee institutional partnerships, ecosystem growth, and efforts to bring businesses onto Solana.
Conlan previously held senior roles at OKX, CAA Sports, and Havas. Jamal Raees, a former Polygon Labs executive, becomes general manager of payments for the foundation.
Raees will focus on deepening engagement with major payments companies and infrastructure used by teams building payment services on Solana.
He aims to drive adoption and usage of stablecoins and tokenized deposits in global markets. The appointments follow the launch of the Solana Developer Platform, which includes Modern Treasury as a payments infrastructure partner. Mastercard and Western Union are early users of this platform.
