Solana Foundation Taps Ex-Binance CMO for Payments Push
Solana Foundation has made two significant hires to accelerate institutional and payments-focused adoption of its network. Rachel Conlan, former Binance chief marketing officer, joins as chief strategy officer, while Jamal Raees, a Polygon Labs executive, will serve as general manager of payments.
Conlan's role will focus on leading institutional partnerships, ecosystem growth, and business adoption efforts. Her background combines crypto-native experience with broader enterprise and communications expertise, which may be particularly relevant for Solana as it courts corporate developers, payment operators, and compliance-minded institutions.
Raees's work will center on deepening engagement with major payments companies and driving adoption and usage of stablecoins and tokenized deposits in global markets. His role is part of the Foundation's ongoing effort to position Solana as a rails layer for settlement and payments.
