Solana Gears Up for Next Growth Cycle with Institutional Adoption and Tokenized Assets
Solana's rapid price increase is attributed to its preparation for the next growth cycle. According to Nick Ducoff, Solana Foundation executive, institutional adoption, tokenized assets, and stablecoin activity are expanding across the network.
Ducoff mentioned that Solana now hosts more than $4 billion in real-world assets, has seven global systemically important banks building on the network, and has processed nearly $5 trillion in stablecoin volume year-to-date. He expects a broader 'token super cycle' as money, financial assets, and ownership increasingly migrate on chain.
Ducoff believes that tokenized equities are showing growing usage on Solana, with investors seeking access to assets ranging from international companies to U.S. pre-IPO firms. He also thinks that the previous meme coin boom strengthened Solana's institutional case, as Wall Street institutions such as JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley have launched funds or products using Solana.
The three key indicators Ducoff identified to watch over the next year include real-world assets, bank adoption, and network upgrades. He wants the number of global systemically important banks building on Solana to rise from seven to roughly 14, representing about half of the 29 banks in that category.
