Solana Leads in User Fees, But Ethereum Burns More
Solana took more user fees than Ethereum on DefiLlama's September 22 snapshot, but its reported burn was lower. The difference can be attributed to how each network handles fees.
DefiLlama's data showed that Solana generated about $1.1 million in chain fees compared to Ethereum's $649,423. Over a 30-day period, Solana's chain fees reached around $23.6 million, nearly double the amount of Ethereum's $12 million.
However, Ethereum remained ahead in reported burns, with $2.8 million over 30 days, compared to Solana's $2.66 million. The difference is significant when considering network size, as Ethereum has a market capitalization of around $335 billion, while Solana's is roughly $69 billion.
