Solana Network Activity Surges to Record Highs as Price Struggles
Solana's network activity has surged significantly over the past month, reaching new all-time highs in transaction volume and user participation. The blockchain processed a record 4.244 billion transactions in July, exceeding previous records set in June. This surge in activity was driven by increased client engagement on the chain, highlighting Solana's growing role as a hub for crypto market participation.
According to data from market analyst CryptoJack, Solana outperformed its rivals in daily active users and daily on-chain transactions last month. The chain recorded more than 3 million daily active addresses and over 100 million daily on-chain transactions, driven by rapid transaction settlement, lower fees, and rising user activity across digital assets, meme coins, DeFi, and on-chain utilities.
Despite the surge in network activity, Solana's price continues to struggle with a downtrend, currently trading at $73.99, down 2.5% and 10.4% over the past week and month respectively. This divergence between network activity and price movement is not new for Solana, as momentum underneath the blockchain remains positive despite weak demand for spot Solana trading.
