Solana Outpaces Ethereum in DEX Volume and Revenue
Solana's decentralized exchange (DEX) volume has reached $60 million this month, solidifying its position as the leading smart-contract blockchain in terms of trading activity. This figure nearly doubles that of Ethereum, which stands at $34 million, despite being the largest smart-contract blockchain.
Tagus Capital attributes Solana's appeal to its lower transaction fees and higher throughput, making it an attractive option for both developers and users. This has contributed significantly to its growth in decentralized finance (DeFi).
Solana's impact is not limited to trading volumes; the blockchain has earned $25 million in revenue this month alone, surpassing Ethereum's $16 million. In January, Solana generated a staggering $124 million in revenue compared to Ethereum's $109 million.
