Solana stands out as the top cryptocurrency to buy before September 30 due to its recent performance and upcoming upgrade. The Solana price has risen 23% this week, 24.9% for the month, and is down just 4.23% for the year. Its upgrade, named Alpenglow, aims to improve how validators agree on each block, reducing transaction finality from 12.8 seconds to roughly 150 milliseconds.
XRP has recovered losses following a Senate vote on September 15, rising 19.78% this week, but its price remains down 16.48% from December 31, 2025. The activation of the Batch amendment on the XRP Ledger is scheduled for September 29, which allows multiple transactions from different accounts to settle simultaneously or fail together.
Zcash has already had a standout performance this year, surging 187.51%, but lacks an upcoming network upgrade. Its recent growth is mainly attributed to the launch of Grayscale's Zcash Trust ETF on August 25 and a coinholder vote on September 15 to reduce block time from 75 seconds to 25.
