Solana Overtakes Robinhood Chain in Tokenized Commodities Trading
Solana has taken the lead in tokenized commodities trading on decentralized exchanges (DEXs), surpassing Robinhood Chain's market share of 26%. According to Blockworks, Solana now holds a 36% market share, a significant increase from its previous 1% just three weeks ago. This change comes as new commodity products have been launched on the network, including tokenized silver and perpetual futures on gold, silver, and oil.
The rise of Solana in tokenized commodities trading is notable, especially considering the network's relatively small asset value compared to its competitors. While Ethereum still dominates the market with $4.7 billion in distributed tokenized commodities, Solana hosts only $26.8 million, or 0.55% of the market.
However, Solana's trading activity has been substantial, handling about a quarter of DEX volume on September 23. The network's asset value has also grown, increasing by 1.09% over the past 30 days compared to declines for Ethereum and $BNB Chain.
