The Solana Policy Institute (SPI) has called on the U.S. Senate to pass the CLARITY Act, a bill aimed at providing legal certainty for digital asset developers, institutions, and consumers.

In a letter addressed to Senate Republican Leader John Thune and Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, SPI argued that the time to act is now, warning that delays could erode American competitiveness in the global blockchain industry.

The CLARITY Act seeks to establish clear jurisdictional rules for digital assets and blockchain-based transactions, resolving ongoing regulatory ambiguity that has left many U.S.-based crypto firms uncertain about compliance requirements.
