Solana Price Correction Fails to Deter Growing Adoption and Whale Accumulation
Solana's (SOL) recent price drop has been attributed to technical factors rather than fundamental issues, according to crypto analyst Ali Charts.
The SOL price has declined by 8.31% since August 26, falling from $110.50 to approximately $100.40.
However, despite the weakness, several on-chain metrics indicate that investor interest and ecosystem adoption continue to expand.
Solana's network growth has remained strong during the recent price decline, with an average of 9.5 million new addresses per day over the past week.
This consistent increase in new addresses can signal growing adoption and a broader base of market participants entering the ecosystem.
In addition to network strength, there have been more whales joining the Solana network, with an addition of 1.58% to the number of whale wallets with 10,000+ SOL, adding up to 52 new whale wallets.
This signals that larger whales are increasing their holdings, which could mean a decrease in liquidity.
Institutional interest is providing additional backing to Solana's market ecosystem, with sustained demand from traditional investment channels evident through total inflows to US spot SOL ETFs for seven straight weeks.
These ETFs have seen more than 1.2 million SOL flow into them over the last week alone, equating to around $120 million.
