Solana Price Hangs by a Thread as Transaction V1 Upgrade Looms
Solana's price has been trading near $100 for several days, and its fate will be decided in the coming 48 hours. The network is preparing to upgrade to Transaction V1 on September 9, which will increase the maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes. This upgrade aims to improve scalability and allow developers to pack more operations into a single transaction.
Solana's price has been volatile in recent weeks, bouncing back by around +45% after hitting a low of $60.66 in July. The current consolidation phase is seen as a sign that the market is digesting this strong run, rather than reversing it.
Analysts believe that if Solana can break above the $110 level with volume confirmation, it could open up a path towards $123 and $132, keeping alive the target of reaching $150. However, a decisive close below $100 risks a slide towards $95 or even $85.79 in worst-case scenarios.
