Solana Price Soars as Alpenglow Upgrade Looms
Solana's price has been steadily increasing, reaching $121.40 on September 27, just below its resistance wall at $122.39. This milestone comes after a long and volatile journey, with Solana's price bottoming out at $60.39 in June and more than doubling since then.
The current price is not a coincidence; it's the result of several catalysts coming together. Morgan Stanley Investment Management launched a dedicated Solana ETP (MSOL) in late July, and E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley completed its crypto spot trading rollout in July, giving mainstream retail investors direct SOL exposure for the first time through a trusted broker.
The SEC's decision to broaden access to tokenized stock venues on September 17 has also played a significant role. Solana hosts roughly $465 million in tokenized stocks and sits at the intersection of several hot narratives: Layer-1 throughput, institutional access, and real-world asset tokenization.
