Solana Price Squeezed Between $99 and $102 as Leverage Builds
Solana's price is experiencing a significant amount of pressure between two key levels: $99 and $102. With over $6 billion in open interest, the market is primed for a break either up or down.
The network has seen an incredible 260,000 new token launches per day for three consecutive days, with Solana's fee structure making it the default venue for spinning up new tokens. This sustained wave of speculative creation is generating transactions and fees that feed validator revenue and keep the network busy.
Despite this volatility, capital has remained committed to Solana, with DeFi value locked on the network holding steady at $5.903 billion, a 2.64% increase over the past day. The trend structure has also flipped, with the 20-day average sitting above the 50-day and 200-day averages for the first time in months.
The resolution of the current range is imminent, with the apex of the descending triangle just days away. A daily close above $102 would clear the path to $110.77 and potentially higher, while a close below $98.85 would lead to further declines.
