Solana Price Surges Above $100 as Analysts Debate Potential for $1,000 Target
Solana's recent price action has caught the attention of traders and analysts alike. After gaining nearly 11% over the past seven days, SOL's price surged above the psychologically important $100 level, reaching around $104 on Saturday, August 29th.
Two long-term charts presented by Maelius and CryptoCurb highlight similarities between Solana's current market structure and its 2022-2023 bottoming process. Both charts show SOL briefly moving below a major horizontal level before recovering, with the relative strength index approaching or crossing a long-term descending trend line.
The earlier setup is crucial because SOL fell beneath support near the $20 region during the 2022 downturn before reclaiming it in 2023. That recovery preceded a much larger advance, eventually carrying Solana back above $200. The current structure resembles that sequence on a larger price scale, with SOL recently trading below the horizontal area around $80 before recovering sharply.
While some analysts predict an even more aggressive price target of $1,000, this scenario remains speculative and would require substantial confirmation. To reach four figures, Solana's price would need to increase by approximately 860%, making several intermediate resistance levels far more relevant first.
