Solana Price Surges Past $110 as Alpenglow Upgrade Enters Public Testing
Solana's price has broken above $110 after weeks of resistance, according to recent market developments. Analyst Ash Crypto noted that SOL has reclaimed its weekly 200-day moving average and reached $120 for the first time in eight months.
The technical analysis suggests that $133 is now a major resistance area if the current recovery continues. However, the short-term support sits near $111.06 and $107.40, with a move below $107.40 potentially weakening the current setup.
As Solana's Alpenglow upgrade moves to public testnet testing, it targets transaction finality of about 150 milliseconds. The upgrade is designed to improve network efficiency by replacing Solana's existing TowerBFT consensus process with a voting protocol called Votor.
