A $4.5 million attack on the Solana relayer for the Across protocol was executed on July 17, but surprisingly, no user lost a cent.

The attacker exploited a bug in the offchain code file by forging deposit events that didn't exist on-chain.

Risk Labs' own capital absorbed the financial damage directly, with a gross payout of approximately $4.5 million and a net loss under $4 million.
