Solana Shatters Activity Records Amid Tokenized Stock Surge
Solana's blockchain network has set an all-time record for activity on August 4th, with 169.9 million transactions recorded by Blockworks.
This milestone marks the fourth time this year that Solana has broken its own record, despite the price of the coin falling to 63% below its peak in January 2025.
The growth in on-chain activity is being driven by tokenized stocks and perpetual futures contracts. Tokenized stocks have seen a significant increase in volume, reaching $5.8 billion in Q2, up 114% from the prior quarter. This represents a new all-time high for the category.
Solana's exchanges have cleared around $1.1 trillion in cumulative all-time perpetuals volume as of August 25, making it the second-largest player in this market behind Hyperliquid.
