Solana Soars 9.73% to $111.51 as SEC Tokenization Exemption Lifts Market
Solana (SOL-USD) is on the rise after the SEC's Innovation Exemption gave regulated venues permission to trade tokenized versions of U.S.-listed stocks. The network has seen a $3 billion boom in weekly tokenized equity volume, which it is already well-equipped to handle thanks to its high throughput and low fees.
The exemption raises Solana's market value to $65.5 billion and pushes the price above $110 for the first time this month. With a strong day of 9.73% that beat Bitcoin's 5.42%, Ethereum's 5.61%, and XRP's 6.94%, SOL-USD now targets $125, a 12.1% gain.
The catalyst is the SEC's five-year Innovation Exemption, which lets regulated venues trade tokenized versions of U.S.-listed stocks through permissioned automated market makers and liquidity pools.
