Solana Soars as ETF Inflows and Derivatives Fuel Rally
Solana's recent price surge of approximately 3.65% over the past 44 hours can be attributed to a combination of factors, including strong ETF inflows and derivatives positioning.
The Solana-linked Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) has seen significant inflows, with more than $60 million in two days, pushing its assets under management above $1.2 billion and cumulative net inflows exceeding $1 billion.
Derivatives markets have also played a role, with multiple reports highlighting short squeezes and liquidations driving SOL's rally. The price has reclaimed key levels such as $100 and $110-112, and is sitting above major moving averages and indicators like the 20-day SMA and 50-day SMA.
Additionally, Solana's adoption narrative remains strong, with on-chain activity reaching record highs, particularly in decentralized exchanges (DEXs), which processed around 208 million spot trades for the week ending September 13, surpassing the New York Stock Exchange's roughly 190 million transactions.
