Solana Spot DEX Trades Top NYSE in Historic Volume Milestone
Solana's spot decentralized exchange (DEX) has surpassed the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in weekly trading volume, marking a significant milestone for the blockchain. According to recent data, Solana recorded 208 million weekly spot DEX trades against the NYSE's 190 million in the week ending September 13.
This achievement is largely attributed to Jupiter processing over 80 million trades this month, contributing significantly to the surge in on-chain swaps. The price action on the four-hour chart shows SOL at $117.63 within the Bollinger Bands, with upper resistance at $120.72 and layered support beneath from the EMA50 at $109.11 and EMA200 at $98.97.
Traders are closely watching for a measured pullback to the 50-EMA before continuation as volume metrics accelerate. SOL price prediction models now incorporate these on-chain flows alongside BTC correlation data for institutional desks.
