Solana Surges Past Bitcoin in Crypto ETF Growth
Crypto ETFs experienced a significant influx of funds in the third quarter of 2026, with a total of $10.2 billion in net new investments. According to SoSoValue, Bitcoin funds took the largest share, attracting $6.3 billion. However, Solana funds showed the fastest growth among major fund groups, with a 42% increase in lifetime inflows.
The growth rate offers a clearer indication of where investor interest is heading, with Solana's 42% growth rate far surpassing Bitcoin's modest 12% increase. Solana's funds also led in inflows relative to their assets, with inflows equal to 25% of their assets. In contrast, Bitcoin's $6.3 billion inflow mainly reaffirms that its ETFs remain the primary way investors get exposure to crypto.
Ethereum funds performed well on both metrics, securing second place in dollar inflows with $3.1 billion and second in growth with 28%. XRP funds provided a useful benchmark, attracting $308 million and managing assets totaling $1.7 billion, similar to Solana's $1.9 billion.
