Solana Surges to Highest Point Since January 2026 Amid Increased Trading Volume
Solana's price surged to its highest point since January 2026 on Thursday, with an 11% increase to $112. The rise in value was accompanied by significant trading volume for BSOL, the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF, which saw roughly $85 million in trades.
The 11% jump in SOL's price has experts looking at the market dynamics. According to CoinGlass, SOL's spot volume is currently at $1.287 billion, with futures volume standing at $11.575 billion. This brings the futures-to-spot ratio to approximately 9:1, indicating leverage on the move rather than demand for the token itself.
The Solana Foundation has been working to increase adoption and partnerships. It has linked Solana with Allfunds through Project Harmonia, connecting over 3,300 asset managers who oversee roughly €1.9 trillion in assets under administration. MoneyGram Ramps has also gone live on the network, offering deposits in more than 25 countries and cash withdrawals in over 170.
The BSOL fund, launched by Bitwise Asset Management, provides 100% direct exposure to SOL. It comes with a management fee of 0.20%, dropping to 0% for three months on the first $1 billion in assets. The fund stakes its holdings through Helius, which manages over 13 million staked SOL at launch.
