Solana Surpasses $3T in Cumulative DEX Volume
Solana's decentralized exchange (DEX) volume has surpassed $3 trillion in cumulative trading, reaching an impressive milestone. To put this number into perspective, it's roughly equivalent to France's annual GDP.
A significant chunk of this volume occurred in 2025 alone, with over $1.95 trillion in spot trading activity and additional contributions from perpetual contracts. This means more than half of Solana's all-time DEX volume was generated in a single year.
The growth can be attributed to various factors, including stablecoin swaps, tokenized assets, and derivative trading. Raydium, an automated market maker, has been a significant contributor, processing over $530 billion in volume during 2024 and following up with roughly $642 billion in 2025.
Solana's share of global spot DEX volume has fluctuated between 30% and 50%, despite its relatively modest smart-contract market cap. By mid-2026, Solana captured approximately 36% of global spot DEX volume, ranking it first among all blockchain networks.
