Solana Surpasses Base By Over 16 Times in Daily App Revenue
Solana's decentralized applications have outpaced those on Base by nearly 17 times in terms of daily revenue, according to DeFiLlama. Over a 24-hour window, Solana racked up around $5.14 million in app revenue compared to Base's approximately $304,000, resulting in a ratio of 16.9 to 1.
The numbers demonstrate Solana's dominance throughout 2026. In May, monthly app revenue hit $91 million, and by August, it had climbed to $143 million, representing a roughly 57% increase over three months, driven largely by trading platforms and token launchpads that have made Solana their home.
Base has consistently ranked below Solana and other leading chains like Ethereum in daily app revenue. Its transaction volumes have shown some life at various points, but the chain hasn't converted that activity into meaningful fee retention at the application layer.
