Solana Takes Lead in Tokenized Commodities Trading from Robinhood Chain
Solana has taken the lead in tokenized commodities trading on decentralized exchanges (DEX), surpassing Robinhood Chain, according to data from Blockworks. The network's market share now stands at 36%, while Robinhood Chain trails behind with a 26% share.
This sudden change is attributed to Solana's recent influx of new commodity products, including tokenized silver and perpetual futures on gold, silver, and oil. The Kamino listing, which allows PAXG holders to use tokenized gold as collateral, may prove particularly significant in the long run.
However, trading activity and asset value paint a different picture. Solana currently hosts just $26.8 million in distributed tokenized commodities, representing only 0.55% of the market. Ethereum still dominates with over $4.7 billion, or about 95%, in tokenized commodities on its network.
The Solana's rise to the top is a result of rapid changes in the past few weeks, and it remains to be seen how long this lead will last. The network's asset value has grown by 1.09% over the past 30 days, while most rivals have experienced declines.
