Solana Teeters on $81 Breakout with Tokenomics Proposals in the Works
Solana's price is hovering around $78, nearing its key breakout level of $81. According to crypto researcher gum, if SOL moves above this threshold, it could lead to a surge towards $104.38, which aligns with the weekly 50-EMA.
Two significant tokenomics proposals are currently under review: SIMD-0550 seeks to double the disinflation rate from 15% to 30%, thereby accelerating the timeline to reach 1.5% terminal inflation; while SIMD-0553 proposes resource-based fees that would be burned, increasing long-term token burns.
Solana's real-world asset sector has surpassed $2.8 billion in May, with SOL dominating 97% of tokenized-equity trading volume. However, any supply changes depend on implementation and actual burn levels.
