Solana Tokenized Commodities Hit $87M Weekly Volume
Tokenized commodity trading on Solana has reached unprecedented levels, with $87 million in weekly volume. The majority of this activity is centered around Raydium, Solana's largest decentralized exchange, which captured 70% of tokenized asset trading volume.
Raydium has consistently dominated Solana's tokenized asset trading volume across various categories throughout 2026, capturing between 63% and over 90% of the market share.
The growth in tokenized gold supply on Solana is particularly notable, with a 689% increase year-over-year through August 2026. However, this still only accounts for a small fraction of the total on-chain gold market, with Solana holding around 0.47% and Ethereum dominating the space.
The recent expansion of trading options for commodity exposure on Solana has contributed to this growth, particularly with the launch of 24/7 perpetual contracts for gold, silver, and WTI crude oil by GMTrade in early September 2026.
