Solana Tokenized Stocks Expand to 93 Tickers as Pump.fun Introduces Custom Pairs
The Solana blockchain is expanding its utility for tokens backed by equities at an impressive rate. Pump.fun, a meme coin issuance platform, has introduced a new 'Custom Pairs' feature that allows newly issued tokens to be paired against tokenized stocks, precious metals, and major cryptocurrencies.
This development comes just a day after on-chain asset infrastructure provider Sunrise added 20 U.S. stocks to its supported pairs, bringing the total number of supported pairs to 93.
The Custom Pairs feature allows issuers to select from a range of tokenized assets, including newly available tickers for Boeing, Alibaba, Costco, and Pfizer, as well as existing tokens like Tesla and Nvidia.
Pump.fun's native PUMP token will continue to be used as the fee structure remains unchanged, with 50% of revenue allocated to buybacks and burns. Issuers can set developer fees ranging from 0.05% to 1%, or opt for a cashback model that rewards traders.
