Solana, Zcash, and Hyperliquid See Significant Growth as Crypto ETFs Attract Investor Funds
Crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have seen significant inflows in recent weeks. U.S. spot crypto ETFs experienced $2.1 billion in net inflows in the week ended August 28, with about $321 million of that sum entering altcoin funds.
Solana's success is a promising sign for its future trajectory. The Solana (SOL) ETF saw inflows of $153.8 million in the week ended August 28. This growth comes as the network's validators approved a proposal called SGP-0002, which will double the rate at which new Solana coin issuance declines from 15% to 30%, reducing supply growth.
Another altcoin benefiting from these inflows is Zcash (ZEC). After receiving its first spot ETF on August 25, Grayscale's The Zcash ETF has likely seen significant capital inflows. Zcash regained the trust of investors after addressing a critical flaw in its code and ensuring that no more value could exit from the network's private pools than what was originally put in.
Hyperliquid (HYPE) is also seeing growth, with spot Hyperliquid ETFs bringing in $56.8 million in inflows in the week ended August 28. The activation of a deal it signed earlier this year with Coinbase Global and Circle Internet Group will deliver about 90% of the cost-adjusted interest earned on USDC stablecoins to the network, further adding to buybacks.
