Solana's SOL token has experienced its strongest month in years, gaining approximately 46% in August. This marks a significant shift from ten consecutive monthly losses. The token price reached as high as $110.38 on August 27, its highest level since late January.

The increased interest in Solana is attributed to institutional buying, with U.S. spot Solana ETFs collecting $1.34 billion in cumulative net inflows since October 2025. Bitwise's BSOL fund has surpassed $1 billion in assets under management, and Goldman Sachs disclosed around $88 million in Solana ETF exposure.

Charles Schwab announced plans to add SOL access across its 39 million brokerage accounts, further increasing institutional involvement. Analyst Seth noted the strongest inflow ever recorded by SOL ETFs, asking 'Who is buying?' The 'Double Disinflation' governance vote passed, slowing future SOL supply growth, and the Transaction V1 upgrade will increase the maximum transaction size.
