Solana's September Figures Show Surging Wallets and Active Programs
Solana's September figures have been released, and they paint a picture of a thriving ecosystem. The network's monthly active programs reached 7,699 in September, with arbitrage and sandwich bots leading the pack at 877 programs. This represents a significant expansion of Solana's footprint, with funded wallets on the network surging to 16.10 million, a 38.5% increase from the prior month.
The data from Solscan also shows that daily active addresses for stablecoins reached 888,000, a 269% jump year-over-year. This suggests that Solana is becoming a preferred rail for dollar-denominated transactions.
The dominance of MEV bots in the active program rankings raises questions about the nature of user activity on the network. With 877 such programs active, it's clear that automated extraction is playing a significant role in driving transaction counts.
