Solomon Labs' USDv Digital Dollar Launches on Solana with $5 Million in First Hour
A new digital dollar has entered circulation on Solana, called USDv. Developed by Solomon Labs, this fully reserved dollar is designed to make stablecoin capital productive.
Within its first hour of trading, over $5 million flowed into circulation. The early distribution across dozens of holders suggests the launch reached beyond a single large buyer.
USDv holds reserves in USDG and USDC, but Solomon Labs plans to add direct exposure to short-dated U.S. Treasuries as its primary reserve component. This structure differs from fully permissionless stablecoins, where anyone can mint or redeem without approval.
