Cardano's ADA token has gained significant traction in Japan after being listed on S.BLOX, a cryptocurrency exchange backed by Sony Group Corporation.

The listing, which took place on August 24, 2026, marked the first time ADA was available for trading on a regulated Japanese exchange.

S.BLOX also enabled trading for NIGHT, the native token of Midnight, Cardano's privacy-focused sidechain.

To celebrate the launch, S.BLOX rolled out distribution campaigns offering up to 10,000 yen in ADA and up to 14,000 yen in NIGHT for participating users.

Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, stated that integrating these assets in Japan represents a significant step forward given the rigorous technical evaluation and compliance processes required by the Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA).
